Kenneth Ray Bell, 74, of San Antonio, TX, passed away Monday, April 20, 2015.
Ken was born October 25, 1940.
He was predeceased by his parents, Walter Newell Bell and Minnie Eva (Pierce) Bell of Luling, TX.
He is survived by his wife, Lou Bell of San Antonio; his daughters, Kendra Leigh Bell of Dallas, TX and John and Stacy Lynn (Bell) Tinker and their children Emma Rose Tinker (2) and John (Jack) Joseph Tinker (1) of Sacramento, CA; his stepson, Craig Thomas and Kelly Rose of McQueeney, TX and grandsons Cullen (16) and Mueller Thomas (12) of Houston, TX; and stepson Todd Thwing and his children Taegan, (15), Trevor (12), and Taelyn (9) Thwing of Gonzalez, TX; and his granddaughters Lunden (18) and Laurel (16) Patterson of San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by his sister, Bennie Beth Harris of Escondido, CA.
Ken grew up in Freer, TX and graduated from high school in 1958. He then attended Texas A&M in Kingsville, and graduated from Texas State University in 1971.
He served in the US Army from 1967 until 1969 and served one tour of duty Vietnam in 1968.
He joined Hartford Insurance Company in 1972, and was San Antonio Claims Manager until 1984. He was hired by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in 1984 into the Risk Management department and was a Claims Manager until his retirement in 2001.
He was a loving husband, and dedicated father and grandfather.
Ken was also an avid deer hunter and loved his Pekingese puppies.
The graveside service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Mission Park Burial North, located at 20900 IH 10 West, San Antonio, TX 78257.
