This is my paternal great grandfather. He and his wife separated sometime in the 1910s. She returned home with the kids and he stayed in Northern Ontario managing a mine. Family lore is that he later married his secretary and some evidence supports this but no proof as of yet. He is last found in 1957 living in Montreal a few miles from where my parents lived at the time. My father knew his grandfather was in the area but his father refused to put them in touch. His son refers to his father as "deceased" in a letter to my mother in 1969.
