Wilburn McClure Jr.

Wilburn LeRoy McClure Jr., 55, of 114 N. Ward was found dead on July 2, 1987, at 102 S. Adella.

He was born Sept. 6, 1931, in Ottumwa to Wilburn LeRoy and Emma Ludwig McClure Sr. He had been a professional business consultant and certified public accountant. He received a law degree from Georgetown University. He served in the U.S. Marines, where he was a guard at the U.S. Embassy in London. He returned to Ottumwa in May 1986.

He is survived by a son, Marshall Andrew; his mother, Emma Harmon of Ottumwa; two sisters, Karen Bradley of Ottumwa and Beverly Campbell of Mount Clemens, Mich.; two brothers, DeWayne McClure and Harry Lee Harmon of Ottumwa; a stepmother, Helen McClure of Spokane, Wash.; three halfbrothers, Donald, David, and Bob McClure of Spokane; a halfsister, Judy McClure of Spokane.

A graveside service and burial will be 2 p.m. today in Shaul Cemetery, the Rev. DeWayne McClure officiating.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society in care of Florence deBuhr, 3 Carter Court Lane.
