Mable Joanne Bodin was born April 3, 1923 to Edward and Esther (Hasselius) Bodine in Aitkin. She attended and later was a graduate of Aitkin High School. Mable then moved to Seattle, Washington and was employed at Boeing Aircraft. On December 3, 1943 she was united in marriage to Charles Clodfelter in Seattle, Washinton. After their marriage they lived in Seattle until moving to Aitkin, Minnesota where Mable was employed as a nurses aid at the Aitkin Nursing Home. She then moved to Minneapolis and was employed at General Mills and later Sperry-Univac. Mable lived in Bloomington and later moved to Richfield. In 2000, she moved to St. James and made her home at Prairie View Assisted Living until making her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Pastors Judy and Joe Stillwell. While living in Minneapolis, Mable was a member of Soul's Harbor, Calvary Temple and Bloomington Assembly of God Church were she taught Sunday School. She was a member of St. James Assembly of God Church. Mable greatly enjoyed gardening, her flowers, playing the harmonica, drawing art, singing and spent seven years writing her book called "Footprints". Mable had a great vision to help and undergird those serving in the front lines of Missions. She supported many people giving their lives for the sake of the Gospel. Her vision touched those serving here on the home front from her own family and all the way to Africa where she became "Grandma" to the people of Warri, Nigeria.

Mable died on Sunday morning, August 21, 2005 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Pastors Judy and Joe Stillwell in St. James, Minnesota at the age of eighty-two years.

Mable is survived by her daughter, Judy Stillwell and her husband, Joe, of St. James, Minnesota; three grandchildren and their families; Michelle LeTourneau and her husband, Anthony, and their children, Josiah, Jacob and Jeremiah all of Hinkley, Minnesota, Michael Stillwell and his children, Molly, Shane, Abby, Emily all of Denver, Colorado and Megan Stillwell of Richfield, Minnesota; sister, Eileen Harrison and her husband, Richard, of Crosby, Minnesota; brother, Cecil Bodin and his wife, Verda, of Bloomington, Minnesota; several nieces and nephews and other relatives.


In addition to her parents, Mable was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford Bodin and other relatives.

Mable will be greatly missed, but the influence and legacy of her life will live on through those she invested her life on.
