John Edelman married Anna Maria Linsenbigler on April 7, 1833. ~ Pennsylvania German Society Proceedings Vol 2 1909.

Records of the church at Falkner swamp, New Hanover, show Anna Maria was the daughter of Paul Linzebiegler and Maria Elisabeth Binder.

Based on his business dealings with Paul Linsenbigler, it would seem likely that this John is the same John who married Anna Maria Linsenbigler. John's 2nd wife, Mary Ann Zimmerman, was first married to Levi Smith in East Vincent, Chester county, Pennsylvania.

~son Cornelius and family are on 1870 census in Missouri

"Alexander Edelman, a leading and influential member of the agricultural community of West Buffalo township, Union County, has spent almost all his entire life upon his present farm, his parents John and Mary A. (Zimmerman) Edelman locating there when he was only two years old. He is a native of the county, born April 8, 1849 and is one of two children born to his fathers second marriage. There were five children who grew to the years of maturity, the others being John and Cornelius, both farmers of Missouri: Eli, who was an agriculturist of Union County, Penn., but is now deceased and Edwin a miller living in West Buffalo township. The father has been called to his final rest, but the mother of our subject is still living, now a resident of Bloomington, Indiana. Her parents lived and died in Union County." ~~ Commemorative Biographical Record of Central Penn-Counties of Centre, Clinton, Union and Snyder by J.H. Beers and Company 1898 pg 1205

The J.H. Beers record was published in 1898, before which time "the father has been called to his final rest."
