William Warren McKnight Jr., 92, was a son of William W. McKnight Sr. and Isabel Travis McKnight.
He married Alice McGuire on October 30, 1937. She preceded him in death September. 12, 1995.
He is survived by three sons, William W. McKnight III, John James McKnight and Michael Joe McKnight and three grandchildren.
He served in the U.S. Navy Reserve during World War II in the Pacific Theater aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise as a fighter director officer. He was honorably discharged in 1946, with rank of lieutenant commander.
Mr. McKnight attended Thomas Metcalf and University High laboratory schools, Illinois State Normal University, and received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Northwestern University.
