Services for Mrs. Herbert C. (Eunice) Lewis, 67, will be at 4 P.M. today in the First Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Jim Turner, pastor, and the Rev. D. W. Copeland of Gatesville. Burial will be in Tahoka Cemetery directed by White's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lewis was born in McGregor, McLennan County, Texas, moving to the Tahoka area in Lynn County in 1906. She died at 10:15 P.M. Tuesday in West Texas Hospital in Lubbock, Texas. She married Herbert C. Lewis on August 24, 1919.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Miss Mona Lewis of Tahoka and Mrs. Barbara Freeman of South Carolina; three sons, Donald of Tahoka, Gerald of Mesquite, and James of Eastland; three sisters, Mrs. Velma Godwin and Mrs. Irma DanKlefs, both of Lubbock, and Mrs. Lola Boles of Taos; three brothers, Carlice Edwards of Denver City, Boswell Edwards of New Home, and Wilson Edwards of Lubbock; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
