A heart attack on Monday morning took the life of Nic Meyer, a well-known and esteemed citizen of our community, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Radski on South 15th Street. Mr. Meyer was sick last month but had gotten better and Monday morning ate his breakfast with good appetite. However, when he stood up he suffered a stroke and died before the doctor could arrive.
The deceased was 77 years old and previously had successfully operated a farm on the road to Neshoto, which he had to give up 10 years ago because of advancing age, and he and his wife went to live with their above named daughter.
In addition to his widow he is survived by several grown children. The funeral will be held this morning from St. Boniface Church.
