HAROLD L. JACKSON was born July 10, 1926 in Ripley, MS and died April 19, 2015. He attended Bartlett High School and entered the U.S. Navy in 1944 during WWII. He married Betty Davis of Memphis, July 26, 1947, and was about to celebrate his 68th Anniversary. He began his career after his marriage with Southern Rug and Carpets, and later became company owner. He sponsored Little League teams and was a very active christian at Raleigh Baptist and Bartlett Hills Baptist Church. After retirement, he was a Master gardener of tomatoes and turnip greens. He was proud of his sons, Terry and Van Jackson; daughter-in-law, Vicki; grandsons, Brent and Derek (Heather) Jackson and great-grandson, Taylor. He was preceded in death by brothers, James and John Jackson. Dr. John Finley, Dr. John Jackson and Dr. Walter Jackson will conduct services at High Point Funeral Home, Wednesday, April 22.
