She was the daughter of the late Henry Claud and Emma Viola Durr Smith. The widow of William Thomas "Bill" Savage. Survivors include three sons: Wayne (Jean) Savage, Gale (Diane) Savage and Thomas (Virgie) Savage all of Harrodsburg.
Five daughters Ruby (Earl) Riley of Mt. Washington, Mrs. Maurice (Margaret) Sims of Harrodsburg, Mrs. Hoy (Wilma) Richardson of Lawrenceburg, Wanda (Velmer) Godbey of Lawrenceburg, and Rosie Smith of Harrodsburg.
One brother Kenneth Smith of Danville,
One sister Elsie Driskell
17 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her one son Hollie Smith, three brothers Owen Smith, Truman Smith, and Russell Smith, four sisters Dora Caldwell, Bessie Bast, and Birdie Salisbury, and Blanche Releford.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.
