Evelyn Lorene Hall was born September 15, 1935 to Ernest and Frances (Wallerstadt) Hall in Jackson County, Minnesota. She grew up in Dunnell and attended school there. Evelyn was a 1953 Graduate of Sherburn-Dunnell High School. On February 27, 1955 she was united in marriage to Herman Bolte in Anthon, Iowa. After their marriage Herman was employed in road construction so they lived in Minnesota, South Dakota, Iowa, Kansas until returning to Minnesota. They farmed in the Butterfield area and later in the Brainerd area. Evelyn helped her husband on the farm where she drove the combine where they also did custom combining in the Butterfield and Sherburn area. She was a member of Kansas Lake Lutheran Church and it's ladies aid. Evelyn greatly enjoyed her family and spending time with them. She enjoyed watching television, cooking, baking, gardening and doing jigsaw puzzles. She made many hand crafted crocheted oraments. Evelyn has a collection of Beanie Babies and salt and peppershakers. Going to her children and grandchildren sporting events kept her busy. In her spare time she went fishing, camping in there camper made from a school bus and playing miniature golf. She enjoyed reading and keeping a daily journal.
Evelyn died on Saturday morning, February 18, 2006 at the Trimont Health Care Center in Trimont, Minnesota at the age of seventy years.
Survivors include her husband, Herman Bolte of Odin, Minnesota; her children, Rev. Alan Bolte and his wife, Cindy, of Alexandria, Minnesota, Scott Bolte and his wife, Joyce, of rural Butterfield, Minnesota, Sandy Youngblom and her husband, Dean, of Wells, Minnesota and Ron Bolte and his wife, Dee Dee, of Odin, Minnesota; eleven grandchildren, Christopher Bolte, Melissa Hubbard, Shaun and Ryan Bolte, Justin, Eric and Nicole Youngblom, Jason, Brandi and Betsy Bolte, Chip Rankin; nine great-grandchildren, Dylan Bolte, Alexis, Ashley and Abigail Hubbard, Gage, Austin, Tyler, Kevin and Destiney Bolte; sisters, Vivian Sands of rural Butterfield, Minnesota, Illa Jurries of Dunnell, Minnesota, Marilyn Bergquist and her husband, Ray, of Buffalo, Minnesota, Norma (Hall) Paulson and her husband, John, of Edina, Minnesota; sister-in-law, Leota Hall of rural Butterfield, Minnesota; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, two infant grandsons, Michael Bolte and Jay Youngblom; two brothers, Stanley and Arnie Hall; brothers-in-law, Ervin Jurries,Walter Sands, Gene Bolte and other relatives.
