BETTIE FLORENCE LIVINGOOD, age 90, Carlisle, died Saturday, April 18, 2015, at the Cedar Ridge Health Campus. Born in Harrison County, April 24, 1924, to the late Charles Oscar and Cora Fryman Florence, she was a farmer, homemaker, avid cook, gardener and quilter. Mrs. Livingood was a member of the Saltwell United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school and bible school teacher, janitor and Methodist Women's President and secretary.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-four years, James Monroe Livingood; five brothers and sisters in-laws, Leon (Ruth) Florence, Vernon (Lizzie) Florence, Paxton (Lillian) Florence, Everett (Dorothy) Florence and Charles Florence, Jr. and a sister and brother in-law, Armilda (Bob) Mastin. She is survived by two daughters, Rita (Mike) Dalton, Middlesboro and Sue (David) Stasa, Carlisle; two grandchildren, Heather (Craig) Callen, Cumberland Gap and Kevin (Donna) Miller, Cynthiana; three great grandchildren, Jami Miller, Jaden Miller and Cade Callen; a brother in-law, Rev. Howard Livingood, Carlisle and two sisters in-law, Dale Florence, Paris and Frances Florence, Cynthiana.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Ware Funeral Home by Rev. Howard Livingood. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Ware Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt.
