TARWATER, DOROTHY JENKINS age 92 of 1870 Chapman Highway, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 14, 2007.

She had been a resident of Sevier County Health Care Center for nine and a half years and was a member of New Hope Church of God.

She was preceded in death by husband James B. "Pete" Tarwater; granddaughter, Joan Stott; parents, Perry and Nancy Hale Jenkins; brothers, Audley, Alex and G.H. Jenkins; sisters, Doshia Gibson and Shirley Bush.

Survivors daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and George Headrick, Jo and Carl Norris, Nancy and Donnie Clabo; grandchildren, Judy Pat and Charles Flynn, Butch and Gelinde Stott, Barbara (Bobbie) and Steve Myers, Darlene and Ron Lane, Cheri and Millard Calhoun, Jim and Tina Clabo, Randall and Lindsey Clabo; great-grand children, Steven and Trish Myers, Brandy and Barry Valentine, Keesha and David Wear, Brittany and Jeffrey Thompson, Dustin and Daniel Calhoun, Ryan and Emily Stott, Taylor, Karley and Kinsey Clabo; great-great-grandchildren, Grayden Wear and expected Baby Thompson due in August; sister, Louise Breeden of Seymour; brothers, Tom Jenkins of Taylor, SC; Ernest Jenkins of Knoxville; sisters-in-law, Ruby Gibson, Eva Gibson, and L.J. Lawson; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Wanda and Alvin Davis.

The family would like to thank everyone at Sevier County Health Care Center for their love and care of Ms. Dorothy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, c/o Carl Norris, 173 White's School Road, Sevierville, Tennessee, 37876.

Family and friends will meet 11 am Wednesday in Pleasant Hill Cemetery for graveside service and interment, Rev. Jimmy Talley officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Tuesday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. obit furnished by Jane Lane (#46908160)
