Nellie L. Abbott, 99, of Lincoln, formerly of Dawson, died at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday at Abraham Lincoln Hospital, Lincoln.

She was born April 15, 1889, in Decatur, the daughter of Page and Elizabeth Briggs Proctor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Abbott, in 1959; two sons, Charles and Robert Abbott; one daughter, Ruth McCarty; two sisters; and four brothers.

Mrs. Abbott was a member of Dawson United Methodist Church, and a 50-year member of the Rebekah Lodge in Dawson.

Surviving are two daughters, Mae Powell of Lincoln and Dorothy Leonard of Buffalo; 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Fullenwider Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, with the Rev. Richard Piscatelli officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
