George A. Beech Jr., 76, of Carrollton, Ky., died Saturday, June 3, 2006, at his residence.
He was born June 3, 1930, in Madison, the son of George A. Sr. and Ruby Mikesell Beech. He was the maintenance man for St. John Catholic Church. He was a member of Open Door Baptist Church.
He is survived by seven daughters, Judith Lynn Helsel and Bonnie Lou Potts, both of Madison, Carolyn Ann O'Neal, Connie Sue Beech and Geraldine L. Meadows, all of Carrollton, Ky., Belinda June Jones of Dry Ridge, Ky., and Sandra Lee Osborne of Hazard, Ky.; two sisters, Daisy Croxton and Anna Hannah, both of Madison; one brother, Jerry Beech of Madison; his stepmother, Thelma Beech; 26 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Louise Stockdale; and two brothers, Robert "Bobby" Beech and Charles Beech.
The funeral was Wednesday at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel. Burial was at the veterans cemetery.
Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, Ky., handled the arrangements.
