Lena Russow Succumbs
MONTICELLO — Lena Russow, 92, 510 S. Illinois St., Monticello, died Wednesday at 12:50 a.m.in White Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Minonk, Ill., on Aug. 23,1888, to John A. and Agatha Segerman Johnson. On Feb. 26, 1908, she was married to Fred Russow, who died July 7,1961.
A member of the Calvary Baptist Church, she resided in Monticello since 1957, coming from Idaville.
Surviving are two daughters, Edna Puskas, Portage; and Ruth McGuire, New Carlisle; two brothers, Harry and Clarence Johnson, both of Pontiac, Ill.; a sister, Clara Johnson, Pontiac, Ill.; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Olin Strader officiating. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Monticello.
Friends may call at the Miller-Voorhis Funeral Home Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m. and Friday at the church one hour prior to the service.
