Mary "Polly" Councill was the daughter of Jordan Councill and Sarah Howard (daughter of Benjamin Howard/Prudence Sater). She married Shadrack Callaway in Ashe County, NC. Later they removed to Knox County,Tennessee.Her son, James S. Callaway administrated her estate.
