Father: Asher Shepard
Mother: Temperance Gale

Asher was living at Charlestown at time of marriage, his death cert at Blackstone states he was born at Rutland, Vermont, his other death cert states he was born at Franklin, Massachusetts. All the censuses stated he was born at Massachusetts; he buried his son Frank and stated he was born at Northampton.

Asher Shepard was at Northampton in 1810, the 1790 & 1800 census is missing. Temperance died 1830 at Whatley, Franklin County, so the family removed some time bef 1830 to Whatley. There is an 1840 census at Northampton, but I think it may be Asher Jr. Asher prob went to Rutland, Vermont after the death of Temperance. The 1790 census at Bennington, Vermont may be this family, but they removed by 1793 to Northampton, Massachusetts.
