Betty Scarbrough Taranto, a homemaker, died Monday at her home. She was 75. Mrs. Taranto was born in Jacksonville, Fla., and lived in Algiers for the past 58 years. Survivors include her husband, Raymond L. Taranto Sr.; three sons, Raymond L. Taranto Jr., Frank David Taranto Sr. and Frank David Taranto Jr.; three daughters, Bonnie Lambert, Diane Cavanaugh and Susan Loustalot; a brother, Earl Scarbrough; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 West Bank Expressway, Harvey. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Thursday at 8 a.m. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park.
