BARKER, Charles Ray, age 93 of Dayton, OH, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016. Charles was born July 3, 1922 in Lexington, KY, son of the late Charles and Willie (Coffey) Barker. He proudly served his country, as a Major, in the US Air Force from 1944-1974. Charles was a teacher at Northridge High School, retiring in 1982 after 26 years of service. Mr. Barker is survived by his wife of 67 years, Margaret (Oatts); 2 daughters, Priscilla (Tom) George and Phyllis Barker; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Louis Barker. A Funeral Service will be held 12:30 PM Monday, May 16, 2016 at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home & Crematory, 5555 Philadelphia Dr., at N. Main St., Dayton, OH 45415. The family will receive visitors 11:30 AM-12:30 PM Monday, May 16, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment Shiloh Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 111 W. Monument Ave., Dayton, OH 45402 or a charity of one's choice.
