He was born on November 26, 1943, in Winnsboro, Texas to Loyd Earl Brewer and Vera Mabel Harris. He is survived by his wife, Betty Brewer, of 49 years of marriage; his two children, Brian Brewer and Chance Keith; and his grandchildren, Stormy, Ty, Logan, and Corbin. He is also survived by his sister, Hazel Townsend and brother, Haskel Brewer; and many nephews and nieces.

He served in the US Army during Vietnam and received an honorable discharge in 1965. The same year, while working at K-Mart, he met Betty, who became the love of his life. They married the following year and moved into their first home in Houston, TX.

In 1988, Troy and Betty relocated to Palestine and opened East Texas Photo. Over the years, Troy became known as “The Photo Man”, capturing the memories of the families of East Texas, photographing little league sports, weddings, proms, livestock shows, and numerous other important area events.

Shortly after retirement, Troy became an Elkhart School bus driver of Bus # 16 and continued to be a positive influence to the children of our community.

Troy went to be with our Lord on Saturday, April 11, 2015.
