LAKE MILLS—Carl Martin, 82, a lifelong resident of Lake Mills, died last night in the Jefferson County Home. Born July 11, 1883, in Jefferson, he was the son of William and Anna Klemann Martin. His wife, the former Ida Frey, predeceased him in 1956. A retired painting contractor, Mr. Martin was a member of the Lake Mills Moravian Church, a long term member of the Lake Mills Volunteer Fire Department and served many years as its treasurer. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. John Johnson, Minneapolis, Minn., and a son, Lyman, Rte. 1, Fort Atkinson, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Rock Lake Cemetery.
