Ella Gold was the daughter of Samuel Gold. She first married Mr. Harrison and second to George Hugh Cameron.

On the 1850 Rockbridge Co., Virginia census, I found farmer Samuel Gold, 35; Jane Gold, 27; James A Gold, 9; Samuel McD Gold, 5 and JULIA E GOLD, 1, all Virginia born.

Ella Cameron was born on 26 Oct 1849 in Rockbridge Co., Virginia, to parents Samuel Gold and Jane Mora or Mona (hard to read) Orbison. She was a widow. On 12 Aug 1912, she died in Goshen, Rockbridge Co., Virginia. She was buried at Lexington, Virginia (at the time it was named Lexington Cemetery, later Stonewall Jackson Memorial Cemetery and later yet Oak Grove). Virginia Cert. of Death #5230
