Dorothy Ann Carlton, nee Delaney, age 78, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015.

She was born to Henry J. and Loretta A. (nee Dashley) Delaney. She resided in Joliet most of her life. Dorothy worked with her husband, Don, in the real estate industry. She was a member of the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus, the Red Hat Society and the Therapeutic Pool Class at Willow Falls. Dorothy loved shopping, musicals and plays. She always looked forward to dining out with Don.

Dorothy is survived by her loving daughter, Becky McCarney of Joliet; four grandchildren, Emily, Patrick, Kevin and Molly McCarney; two nieces, Mary Therese (Bill) Napleton and Felicia Hester; and four nephews, Pat and Mike Keenan and David and Steve Hester.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Don Carlton (2005); her sister, Mary Kennan; and brother, Joseph Delaney.

Visitation Sunday, 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral Services for Dorothy Carlton will be Monday, April 20, 2015 at 9:15 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road to Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a mass at 10:00 a.m.

Private interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
