DRESDEN - Carolyn Brannon Beard, 70, retired legal secretary and homemaker, died Thursday of congestive heart failure at her home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Bowlin Funeral Home with burial in Tansil Cemetery near Sharon. Mrs. Beard, the wife of Robert M. Beard Jr., also leaves two sons, Macon Beard of Vidalia, Ga., and Brian Beard of Atlanta; two sisters, Mary Ann Wilson of Gleason and Gloria Holt of Maryville; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
