Ray was born on December 12, 1927, in Corcoran, CA. He joined the US Army at 17 and served during the last 2 years of World War II. In 1952 he found a home in the US Marine Corps, where he spent the next 17 1/2 years serving his Country, both at home and overseas during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He retired at the rank of Gunnery Sergeant in 1969.
He is survived by his wife Virginia, their 3 sons James, Ray and Mark, their sons spouses Tisa, Gloria and Diana, and their 10 grandchildren.
Services will be held at on 3 p.m., Thursday, April 16th, at Gateway Church, located at 1100 S. Sowell, Visalia, CA,. Burial will be at the Riverside National cemetery the following week. All who knew Ray are welcome to attend the service. Semper Fi
