Mrs. Aber was born October 30, 1918, in Edgerton MO. She was a member of VFW Post #1000 Ladies Auxiliary; a charter member of Carlisle Baptist Church and also attended Waldo Avenue Baptist Church. Mrs. Aber had worked at Jackson County Hospital and Lake City. She was preceded in death by her husbands, George W. McComas Jr. and Arthur Aber; two sons, Thomas R. Amos and John H. McComas and two daughters, Jacquelyn M. Johnson and Deborah A. Howard. Survivors include sons, Charles R. Amos, Darryl Amos, James C. Amos, Orville V. Amos, Robert W. Amos, George W. McComas, Clifford M. McComas, and C. Marvin McComas; stepchildren, Buddy Dean McComas, Sherry McComas and Pete McComas; brother Valgene Noland; and sister, Neatha Pierson; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
