Mrs. Lucas, 71, died Tuesday, December 16, 1986, at her home in Newburgh, N.Y.
A native and former resident of St. Joseph, She had made her home at Newburgh for the past seven years.
She had formerly worked at St. Joseph Hospital, now know [sic] as Heartland Hospital East. She was a former member of the Marvin McMurray United Methodist Church, St. Joseph.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen J. Lucas, in 1957.
Surviving are six sons, James "Jim" A. Lucas, St. Joseph, Don R. lucas, Newburg, Endell R. Lucas, Buckingham, Pa., Stephen J. Lucas, Milwaukee, Wis., and William E. Lucas, Hudson, N.H., two sisters Louise Messbarger, Rochelle, Ill., and Nan Eva Hoecker, West Palm Beach, Fla., 16 grandchildren; Several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The body will be brought to St. Joseph this afternoon and will be taken to the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 this evening.
