Ray Robinson
Ray Robinson, 99, of Heaters, WV passed away on April 11, 2015 at the Whispering Pines Rehabilitation Center/Nursing Home in Fayetteville, NC. He would have been 100 years old May 27, 2015. Ray was born May 27, 1915 to the late Jim and Anna Robinson. He is preceded in death by his wife Beulah (Boggs) Robinson on February 25, 2007. Also preceding him in death are brothers, John, Roy, Harry, Olen and Billy and sisters, Janet and Hattie.
Ray was a member of the Mount Harmony Methodist Church and was a Sunday School Superintendent for many years. He also served as president of the Braxton County Sunday School Convention and served on many church committees. Ray loved his church and the Lord. He loved traveling, going to the beach and good food. He enjoyed listening to Southern Gospel and Bluegrass music.
Ray worked for 28 years in the coal mines at Widen, Clay County, WV, and several years at WV Forest Products in Gassaway, WV. He loved farming, the farm animals, especially his horses, and gardening. He worked on his farm as long as he was able. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
