Born on June 25, 1916, in Lawrence County, IN, she was the daughter of Emil and Amy (Barre) Metzler.
She married Fred Anderson, and he died in 1976. She later married O. Noble Benbow, and he died in 1981.
Surviving are one daughter, Ann Holt and her husband, Frank, of Bedford, IN; one grandson, David Holt of Springville, IN; two granddaughters; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both husbands; one son, Woody Anderson; and three brothers: Woodrow, Ted, and Willis Metzler.
She was a 1934 graduate of Bedford High School and retired from the Lawrence County Recorders office. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and St. Annes Guild at the church, Eastern Star, Pink Ladies, and Senior Citizens.
Burial will be in Green Hill.
