Dick married 1st Mary "Mollie" Polly Graham 1865 – 1906, and 2nd Fonnie Hull 1883 – 1963; James "Anna" Bogart 1867 – 1901. Anna married William Walton Head 1856 – 1939; James B Bogart 1867 – 1901. James married Guenthia Bogart; George Monroe Bogart 1868 – 1953. George married Ora Pauline Wooten 1869 – 1953; Albert Ross Bogart 1872 – 1953. Albert married Dona "Ethel" Helms 1888 – 1990 and Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" Bogart 1874 – 1941. Mollie married Frederick "Fred" Gustavia Bays 1871 – 1950.

One day in 1881 during Emma's 18th year of life became a very sad day for Alexander "Elec" Shadden and his two babies. His dear Emma had passed away. She exhaled her last breath and her spirit returned to God her maker. A grave site was selected in the Newport Cemetery, Lone Grove, Carter County.
