Her older brother Joseph Dieter 1890-1895 died at age 5. Her younger brother Henry "Clair" Dieter 1895-1971 never married. Nellie married Charles George (Charlie) Graham who was born Oct 28, 1890 in Bucklin, MO to Charles Graham, Sr and Margaret Flynn (both buried in same Kenney Cemetery, Kidder, MO). Nellie and Charlie were married on Tuesday morning May 9, 1931 at St. Munchin Parish, Cameron, MO by Fr. Francis Wogan. Nellie was 37 and Charlie 40 when they had their first child, Mary Ann Graham Bellinghausen on Sep 4, 1932. On Jan 1, 1935 their 2nd child was born, Joseph Charles Graham.
They lived on a farm southwest of Hamilton, MO. Charlie died suddenly after doing the chores Jan 20,1958 with a bad snow blizzard.
Charlie is buried in Kenney Cemetery, Kidder, MO among many other Graham family members.
After Charlie's death, Nellie moved to an apartment 2 blocks from Sacred Heart Parish in Hamilton where she attended daily mass. Nellie often visited her sister Mary Ann Dieter Bellinghausen in Montrose, MO.
Nellie died suddenly July 8, 1971 as she crossed Highway 13 (going to morning Mass) and was struck by a car. Her funeral was July 10, 1971 at Sacred Heart Church, Hamilton, MO with Fr. Tom Whelan and Fr. Pat Tobin.
Nellie and Charlie are buried in Kenney Cemetery, Kidder, MO.
