Suggested edit:
One of the families of Irish railroad workers who came to Chillicothe around 1858 to 1860 with a strong connection with Fr. Hogan included the mother, Rebecca (or Margaret) Jenkins Montague Graham, her second husband, Bill (William) Graham, her three daughters by her first marriage (Amanda, Mary Ann and Emily Montague), and her two young sons by Bill Graham (Charles and Patrick Graham). After they were orphaned in 1860 or 1861, the two boys, who were approximately age 5 years old (Charles) and three years old (Patrick) were cared for by Fr. Hogan until they were old enough to be taken in by farm families along his circuit. In fact, the later Grahams could say they owe their very existence to Fr. Hogan. Rebecca (or Margaret) maiden name Jenkins, married names Montague and Graham - died in 1860 or 1861 of yellow fever; William or Bill Graham - died in 1860 or 1861 of yellow fever, within weeks of his wife; Amanda Amelia Montague (born 1840) - married in 1860 to Johnny Ryan; Mary Ann Montague (born 1847) - married Michael Potts; Emily Frances Montague (born 1848) - married Patrick Potts; Charles Graham (born 1856) - orphaned about 1860 or 1861; Patrick Graham (born 1858) - orphaned 1860 or 1861.
