Frederick E. Kline Jr., 92, of Erie, formerly of Shippenville, died on Friday, June 13, 2014, at the Pleasant Ridge Manor West in Girard. Born on December 31, 1921 in Rimersburg, he was the son of Frederick E. Kline Sr. and Mary Rugh Kline. A veteran, Frederick served in the United States Coast Guard during WWII. He was married on January 14, 1942 to the former Margaret M. "Peggy" Nelson, and she preceded him in death on September 5, 2010. Frederick worked as a supervisor for Eutectic Welding Corporation in Flushing, N.Y., where he retired. He was a member of the Manor United Methodist Church in Shippenville. Frederick was also a member of the Clarion Lodge #277 F & AM where he was Past Master, Scottish Rite Valley of New Castle, Zem Zem Shrine of Erie, Clarion County Shrine Club, VFW Post #2145 of Clarion, American Legion Post 66 of Clarion, and Fraternal Order of Eagles Post 3807 of Clarion. He enjoyed to golf and spending his summers working at the Hi-Level Golf Course in Kossuth. He also enjoyed spending his winters in Myrtle Beach. Frederick is survived by a daughter, Paula Lojak of Girard; a granddaughter, Lori Horn of Girard; and three great-granddaughters, Carrie Stoczynski and her husband, Tyler, of Cranberry Township, Allison Nolan of Girard, and Jamie Horn of Girard. Also surviving is a brother, Dick E. Kline and his wife, Rosie, of Rimersburg; a special friend, Jason Schell of Springboro; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a son-in-law, Jerry Lojak. Family will receive friends from 1 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood Street, Clarion. Masonic services will be held at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 in the funeral home by Masonic Lodge #277 of Clarion. Funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Jerry Belloit, United Methodist pastor, officiating. Interment will be held in the Rimersburg Cemetery.
