From Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home:

Sandra Ruth (Martin) Hamilton passed away on April 11, 2015, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 79. She was born August 13, 1935, in Breckenridge, Texas, to Francis James Martin and Joanna Varena (Whaley) Martin. She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Albert "Al" Garland Hamilton.

Sandra is survived by her sons, Michael Allison of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Stephen Lee Hamilton of Denver, Colorado; her stepdaughters, Lisa Hamilton Youngdahl of Minnetonka, Minnesota, and Lucy Hamilton Sullivan of Austin, Texas; her sisters, Sharla Joan Holdeman of San Luis Obispo, California, and Sunnye Frances Martin of Houston, Texas; and grandchildren, Stephen Luz Allison of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Case Allison of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Madison Elaine Hamilton of Denver, Colorado.

Sandra graduated from Mineral Wells High School of Mineral Wells, Texas, and attended North Texas State Teachers College. She served as one of Texas' first paralegals and had a long career as a legal and executive secretary and assistant, and in assisting Al in his many and varied business interests and pursuits.

Sandra was a loving wife and wonderful mother, a tireless caretaker for her family and friends, and an active volunteer for her church and those that were less fortunate. Best described as a renaissance woman, she could prepare a meal or plant a garden with equal skill, and enriched the lives of all who came to know her.

Sandra has gone home to be with Al, and we will miss her beyond words.

The funeral will be held at St. John Lutheran Church of Boerne, on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Boerne Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please direct any donations to St. John Lutheran Church at 315 Rosewood Ave., Boerne, TX 78006.
