Alice was a lifelong resident of the area. She worked as a seamstress for Hagel Garment Factory for many years. After retiring she worked at the Kimberling Inn folding sheets and towels until she was almost 80 years old. She was married to Joel Delson Parton, October 20, 1944 and was of the Pentecostal faith and a founding member of the Old Elm Tree Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joel; her parents; one son, Delson Eugene Parton; a great granddaughter, Makayla Sooter; and a son-in-law, Al Crawford.
Survivors include: two sons, Gerald Parton and wife, Lotus of Lampe, MO and Don Parton and wife, Glenda of Lampe, MO; three daughters, Twilla Keeland and husband, Jerry of Oak Grove, AR; Marilyn Ayers and husband Carlos of Lampe, MO; and Treva Keithley- Crawford of Lampe, MO; a daughter-in-law, Lillie Parton of Lampe, MO; one sister, Bessie Woolery of Appleton City, MO; fourteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday April 6, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.at Stumpff Funeral Home-South Kimberling City, MO. Services will be Tuesday April 7, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Elbert Standlee and Glenda Parton officiating at the Elm Tree Church of God Lampe, MO. Burial will be in the Blue Eye Cemetery.
