Joseph Cassidy died Sunday night at the home of a niece, Mrs Anna M Eberle, 911 Seventh avenue, of complications. For 25 years Mr Cassidy had been engineer at the Altoona & Logan Valley Electric Railway company barns. He was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal church and a lifelong resident of Altoona, having been born here August 20, 1850. A son of Michael and Susanna Cassidy.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs Fred Fink. Tyrone; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, a brother and a sister, T.B. Cassidy, Curwensville and Mrs Mary C Davis Juniata Gap; and the niece at whose home he died.

Funeral service will be held at the home tomorrow at 4 pm conducted by Rev B.F. Bungard D.D. and the Rev C.W. Karns D.D. interment will be in Rosehill cemetery.
