Elmer of Cty Rt #38 in Parish, age 75, died at Crouse-Irving hospital after a long illness. He was a life resident of this community and had retired as a mechanic for the state Dept. of Public Works. Surviving are his wife, the former Nettie Halsey, four sons, Elmer Jr of Fla,and Mahlon, Arthur and David. Five daughters, Edith Spedding, Hannis Bristol, Bonnie Fadden of Parish, Linda Roser of Altmar and Dayle Painter of Fulton. 28 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, a sister Miss Ethel Horning and a brother Charles of Fla. Elmer died of cancer. Burial will be in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery.
