March 16, 1906
The funeral of Miss Linnie Baker held yesterday was attended by many relatives and friends. As it was difficult for some to come to this city for the funeral services which were conducted at 2:00 o'clock at the Central Church of Christ by the pastor, Rev. F. L. Moffett, a short service was held at the home of Miss Baker's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Baker west of the city. The remains were laid to rest in Oakland cemetery. Miss Baker died Tuesday morning last and the funeral was delayed until yesterday as the arrival of two brothers of the decedant. Messrs. H. G. and J. E. Baker, from Cotter. Ark., was awaited. The brothers arrived Wednesday and will remain for a week or two before returning home.
