N.Y.C. TRAIN KILLS GOSHEN MAN; SUICIDE?....ORLAN AMSDEN DESPONDENT, RELATIVES SAY......Orlan Amsden, 54, of Goshen, brother of Jerry Amsden of Elkhart, was instantly killed at 11:30 this noon at Goshen when he was hit by a New YORK Central freight. It is believed that he committed suicide, as he had been despondent for several days, and relatives say he had threatened suicide. He was seen sitting on the rails shortly before his body was found. Mr. Amsden had been out of work for some time. He made his home with a sister, Mrs. Charles Hardesty, of Goshen. Mr. Amsden had been a resident of Goshen for 35 years, going there from Ligonier. In addition to the relatives named above , he is survived by a brother, Nathan Amsden, of Fort Wayne. He never married.

AMSDEN FUNERAL....Funeral services for Orlan Amsden of Goshen, who was killed Monday noon when hit by a New York Central train, will be held at 10 o'clock Thursday morning at the Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.
