Walter G. Long, 78, Indianapolis, died Saturday in St. Francis Hospital Center. He had been a maintenance department employee of Mitchell Scott Machine Shop 16 years, retiring in 1972. Previously, he was employed 25 years by Rockwood Paper Pulley. He was born in Hymera and Lived in Indianapolis 50 years. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday in Shirley Brothers Drexel Chapel, where calling will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today. Survivors: wife, Freda Long; son, Walter G. Long Jr; daughter, Lorayne Willoughby.
