Funeral services will be conducted at the Methodist church (sic) in Fremont at 1 p.m. Friday for the Rev. Clarence V. Powell, 75, who served Nebraska churches more than 50 years.
Burial is to be made in Memorial Park south of Lincoln.
The Rev. Mr. Powell died Tuesday in a Fremont hospital following surgery on Monday.
He was a native of Littleton, Ill. His pastorates from 1905 until his retirement in 1956 included Stuart, Mitchell, Chadron, Pierce, Wausa, Stockham, Stromsburg, Waverly, Martell, Nelson, where he served six years, and Hooper.
After retirement, Mr. Powell and his wife, also a Methodist minister, moved to Fremont.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Mrs. Warren Bintz, Sutherland, Ia.; sons, Dr. Luther, Storm Lake, Ia., and Lowell of Omaha.
