Charlotte Louise Saker Lansing It's How You Finish That Counts Charlotte Louise Saker, age 87, of Lansing Mi, formerly of Adrian, Mi, passed away peacefully, Friday, April 3, 2015, in her son's home with his family who love her. Our Father works in mysterious ways. She passed on Good Friday. A sign for her family she is with Jesus now. Charlotte passed in completion. She finished everything she started that was most important to her and the rest Jesus has and is doing now. Birth is painful for a mother bringing her children into this world. Charlotte was born January 1, 1928, in Adrian, Mi the youngest child of Alton and Jennie (Sundquist) Crane. She graduated from Adrian High School with the class of 1946. Charlotte attended Siena Heights University and later went on to obtain an English degree and teaching certificate from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. In education she taught first and second grade at Angell Elementary, in Ann Arbor, Mi. Charlotte married James Hayward Saker, and with him raised five children, Steven, Douglas, Timothy, Susan and Jonathon, her greatest fulfillment and joy was her family. Charlotte was an accomplished seamstress, she loved to knit, quilt and weave, gaining satisfaction from creating things with her hands and blessing others with these gifts. She was a wonderful cook, her family enjoying many memorable meals at her table. In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her brother, Donn Crane; and her sister Yvonne L. Crane Graybiel Brown. Surviving Charlotte are her five children, Steven Saker of Omaha, Ne; Douglas (Linda) Saker of Redondo Beach, Ca; Timothy Saker of Atlanta, Ga, Susan (William) Saker-Johnson of Las Vegas Nv, and Jonathon (Caryn) Saker of Atlanta, Ga; as well as her nine grandchildren, Jason, Mathew, Lindsay, Marina, Andrew (Hazel), Philip (Laura), Elisabeth, Claire and Nicholas; and her one great-grandson, Benjamin.
