Mr. Larry Vance Phillips, 76, of 124 U.G. Buckles Road, Elizabethton, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at his home following a brief illness. He was the son of the late Carl and Sallie Marse Phillips and was born in Washington County, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Buckles Phillips and five brothers and sisters. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was retired from TVA. He is survived by a daughter, Lora Duke, Elizabethton; a son, Leslie Richard and his wife, Lorna, Michigan; three grandchildren, Jessica Duke, Lorn Richard and Rocky Richard; and five great-grandchildren. A sister, Iris Wild, of Fairfax, VA also survives. Family and friends are welcome to visit at the home of his daughter, Lora Duke, 268 Sunrise Drive, Elizabethton on Friday and Saturday.
