Aged 90 years. Royal was the second husband of Harriet Elizabeth (Smith) Bronson Moon (1832-1906). They were married on August 20, 1873 in Bellevue, Eaton County, Michigan. Harriet had been married previously to Seba Bronson. Royal was married previously first to Julia (Brundage) Moon (1822-1857) on February 28, 1841 in Fitchville, Huron County, Ohio. He then married Rhoda Jane (Folsom) Moon on April 30, 1859 in Eaton County, Michigan.

Father: Royal Hoxie Moon, Sr. (1798-1842). Born and died in New York. Royal Hoxie Moon, Sr.'s mother's maiden was Hoxie. Burial unknown.
Mother: Dorothea; unknown maiden name, birthplace and death information, born about 1790.
