Elsie A. Bents, 101, of Comstock died Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Cumberland Healthcare-ECU. She was born June 21, 1913 in Wildrose, ND to Fred and Amelia (Kunkel) Kettel. She was married in Wildrose, ND on June 25, 1936 to Theodor C. Bents who preceded her in death on November 2, 1999. Throughout Elsie's life, she enjoyed visiting with family and being involved in her Church. She was an excellent homemaker and many have experienced her hospitality. Most important to her were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. They brought her joy beyond measure.

Elsie is survived by her sons, Gerd (Connie) Bents of Turtle Lake and Tom Bents of Cumberland; her daughters, Geraldine (George M.) Momchilovich of St. Croix Falls and Idella (Bill) Staab of Somerset; her daughter-in-law, Jan Bents of St. Croix Falls; 15 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren and her sister, Ruth Ulkus of Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Ted F. Bents, daughter-in-law, Becky Bents, sisters, Della Ulkus and Frieda East and brother, Randolph Kettel.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church, Almena, WI with Rev. Ellery Groth officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Almena, WI . Pallbearers are Ted J. Bents, Dan Bents, Jeff Momchilovich, Brad Momchilovich, Eric Bents, Stuart Bents, Jon Olson, Tim Olson and Ben Olson. Honorary Pallbearers are Roxane Evans, Kellie Treichel, Wendy Beukelman, Heidi Deuth, Jeanette Olsen and Kristin Olson. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 AM on Saturday at the church.
