Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today for Jack Phegley, 56, a Houston resident who died Tuesday night after a brief illness. Rev. Leslie Welch officiated at the service held at the Garmany and Co. Chapel in Rosenberg. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
A line repairman for General Telephone, he is survived by his wife, Opal of Houston; his son, Fremont of Tulsa; brothers, Tom of Baytown, Garrett of Waco, William of Dallas, and John of Caldwell; sisters, Mrs. Dodie Sherrill of El Paso and Mrs. Louise Fisher of Dallas; and three grandchildren.
