Born on June 14, 1921, in Cub Run, Hart County, KY, he was the son of Lum Day and Ethel (Geralds) Day.
He came to Bedford as a small child and graduated from Bedford High School in 1942. He was part owner of Day Music Store back in the 60’s and 70’s and was of Protestant faith.
Surviving are one sister-in-law: Jesse Day of Bedford, IN; caregivers: Sue and Kenny Ball, Jack and Mable Day, Kenny and Margaret Day, Tom and Teresa Walls all of Bedford and his long time friend, Dr. Raymond Duncan. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.
As one of eight children, he was preceded in death by all of his family: parents, three brothers: Lloyd, Marvin and John Day and four sisters: Elizabeth Finn, Valeria Mason, Emma Love and Corrine Ridpath.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 2nd, at Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Mark McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.
