At age 93 she passed away at Saint Joseph Health Center in Warren, but she was a nominal resident of Farmington most of her life. She married Richard "Dick" Sloan on June 28, 1939. The couple had seven children, yet she found time to help her husband doing finish and office work for his construction business. She was librarian for "a few years" at Farmington School; she also worked at Sajar Plastics in the 1970s. She was active in West Farmington United Methodist Church and, in later years, the Senior Center. She was survived by children Jim, Larry, Donald, Doreen, Burt and Wayne, plus 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, and a brother and sister.
