Brown Lee Asbury, son of Crispin and Prudence (Collins) Asbury of Grainger Co., TN and husband of Sarah Elizabeth Petty (of Smith Co., TN. They were married 12/24/1879 in Smith Co., TN and moved to the Campbell Co., TN area prior to 1886. Children of Brown Lee and Sarah Elizabeth are: William Surber, 1881-1881; Charles Athey, 1883-1947; Lillian Florence,1886-1960; Cora L., 1888-1964; Homer, 1900-bef 1910; Condie Elmer, 1907-1985. His marker was located in a part of the cemetery where I believe was flooded by the backwaters of Cove Lake at Sharps Cemetery on Hwy 25W near Caryville, TN. As a young girl, I remember putting flowers on his grave but about 20 years ago, I visited the cemetery and his tombstone was no longer there.
